Limited-Edition Milk Makeup Glitter Stick Launches in Partnership With The Center – TeenVogue.com
When it comes to Pride Month, we’re all about wearing that pride on your face (or in your hair, or on your nails), especially with a dose of shine. And there’s no better way to take your Pride month look to the next level with the new limited-edition Milk Makeup Glitter Stick, launched in partnership with The Center (the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center) in New York City. The Center, which is open 365 days a year, provides support, a welcoming environment, and health services for the LGBTQ community, while also proudly celebrating culture and empowering its visitors.
The Glitter Stick, which rolls on like most of Milk’s signature easy-to-use stick products, is made of hydrating shea butter, coconut oil and avocado oil, has multi-dimensional, rainbow-hued sparkles. And since the formula’s completely buildable, one swipe will leave you with a sheer glow; several will turn lips, lids, shoulders, or just about anywhere into a veritable self-contained disco ball. According to the beauty brand, the Glitter Stick is all about “inclusivity, individuality, and a holistic approach to feeling joyful and free.
Likewise, The Center is on board with Milk Makeup’s message. “Milk Makeup has a fantastic reputation for prioritizing freedom of expression and authenticity by creating products, like the limited edition Glitter Stick, to affirm that people should be free to express their joy in every way,” said Glennda Testone, the Executive Director of The Center.
And Milk is going big on its return, donating half of the proceeds from the sparkly product directly to The Center to help achieve its empowering mission. “For me personally, it’s finally an opportunity to give back to The Center in a more meaningful way,” said Milk’s co-founder, Mazdack Rassi. “To celebrate, but more importantly, educate and expose our community to what The Center stands for.”
Milk Makeup has been teasing the launch for days, but have finally lifted the veil on Instagram this morning. And to celebrate the Glitter Stick in all of its shiny glory, The Center’s youth program vogueing group, SNAP!!!, created the below video in homage. “Pride is a beautiful celebration of self-actualization. When you express who you are completely, you shine the brightest,” said Milk Makeup Creative Director Georgie Greville.
